Here is what has happened so far-I am not getting the mechanical noises or the voices anymore, but I was everytime I fell asleep up to about an hour or two ago. No I am just dreaming then realising that I am dreaming at which point I attempt to pull myself awake before the dream changes into a nightmare. One time it felt as if someone grabbed my hand or arm to help me wake back up, but of course no one was there. Sometimes I can feel the noise coming on agian, so I wake myself up....as interesting as all of this is I am exhausted. I have tried switching positions, adding blankets, remaining as calm as possable when I realise I am dreaming, ladee da, NOTHING is helping. I am about to try music, but gee I am feeling well angry and tired now that it is 5:30am.

Hello, I have just read your message and I feel so sorry for you, I had night terrors for about twenty years off and on, haven't had them for about two years, except a few nights ago for some reason, I am hoping and prying they don't come back.
I have had kidney failer, and it has been coming on for years, but as soon as I went on dialysis and then got a transplant the terrors stopped, but I also had a lot of problems with food, because of my kidneys not working I couldn't clean my bloody properly, and I found I couldn't eat anything near going to bed, no tea and no coffee!! also I did find that I could not tolarate wheat, so it could be a lot to do with what you are eating, I still have a problem with wheat, but now my kidneys are working I don't get so bad. I think you should keep a food list and remember what you had to eat and write down if you had terrors or not, I know it might sound silly, and I am not saying for one moment you have a kidney problem, but it did all boil down to food. I would love to know how you get on. Good luck Maddie |
